AO: SECTOR MICHIGAN
ASSETS: BRUISER 1, APOLLO 1, BROADSWORD 1
GRID: Multiple locations
Over the next few days we will be taking the fight to the Afghan Guard in Sector Michigan. We will be executing a series of targeted raids to push the main forces and supply lines south of the 3 passes in the region. If we can manage this, we will have effective control over Sectors Colorado and Texas.
Spartan 1 will provide active support throughout the operations via roadblocks. They will begin at Roadblock Alpha and move down to Roadblock Charlie as the mission continues. Delta teams will Air Assault into FOB Denver with an MRAP and a Humvee to prep for the raids. Once they arrive at FOB Denver they will hit OBJ Avalanche, OBJ Boulder, and OBJ Jackhammer, in that order.
Objective Avalanche: Avalanche is a stronghold for enemy munitions in the Sakhe Valley. We will take out the Afghan OIC and destroy any munitions we can on the way out before exfiling to Roadblock Bravo.
Objective Boulder: We know the main supply officer will be in the town of Shukurkalay for the entirety of today. He will be addressing Afghan supply line issues and supporting AG movements in the area. He is a priority target.
Objective Jackhammer: The town of Khushab is a FOB for the Afghan Guard Special Forces. They will be highly organized and tough fighters, so we will need to move quickly and, if possible, premark artillery targets. The SF Commander is located in the town, so our priority will be to locate and kill him.
This operation will have a lot of moving parts, but if we can successfully complete it we will have rooted out many of the strongpoints in the region. We will have artillery and mortars available from FOB Denver to lighten up defenses, though we will need clearance from Command to utilize them in civilian populations. Spartan teams will be providing blocking coverage and are available for QRF, but only in an emergency. We cannot risk our roadblocks giving way.
